Michelin North America, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Tire Technician forSolidealOnsite Service. Together with ournumerouspartners worldwide, we offer customized services to meet the maintenance requirements of forklift fleets, ensuring safe operations andmaximizeduptime.

Mechanical experience is preferred, but expertiseisn'trequired.We will provide training for any skillsrequired.

This position is for dayshift(start times may vary), 8-hour shifts with overtime available after40 hours.

As a Forklift Tire Technician, you will give input for customer service and operational improvement. You will continuouslyimprovethe knowledge of our products and services and assume full ownership of the position function, with understanding of the role in relation to the success of the Service Center.

Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and DOT physical as a condition of an offer of employment, subject to ADA and reasonable accommodation process. Must be able to pass background check atan appropriatestageconsistent with state law as a condition of an offer of employment.

Whatyou'lldo

  • In-house and onsite installation of forklift and other material handling tires using a hydraulic tire press.
  • Dismount, mount tires, and service the customer product as specified by the customer order.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure cleanliness of all equipment including service vehicles.
  • Report to the Service Managerimmediatelyany material that does not meet quality standards, equipment that requires maintenance, delays at customer sites, potential issues with customer equipment before servicing, accidents or concerns about safety or other potential hazards.
  • Jobrequires regular bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching movements, and standing for prolonged periods.

Whatyou'llbring

  • A "high school diploma" or equivalentexperience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A dedication toprioritizepersonal safety and the safety of others.
  • Punctuality and effective time management skills.
  • A strong attention to detail, initiative, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability tolift upto 75 poundsrequired, with lift-assist available IE; forklift, Lift table, Lift Gate etc.
  • Effective communication with customers on a professional level.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) software applications and ERPsystemare aplus, butnotrequired.
