Job description

Mental Health Tech Opportunity

Join our team at Cumberland Hall Hospital as a Mental Health Tech and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients. As an MHT, you will provide compassionate care and support to patients within a therapeutic environment. You'll assist in treatment plans, lead therapeutic activities, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure quality patient care.

Job duties include: Must possess demonstrated leadership ability, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, and strong oral and written communication skills. The MHT must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships as relates to adolescents, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behavior and BLS American Heart. The MHT has near visual acuity necessary for evaluating patients and reading charts. Eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity are essential for manual charting. The ability to talk and hear is necessary for conversing with and assessing patients. The MHT must have the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.

Qualifications: MHT requirements include: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors Degree in a human service related field preferred. Experience: Two years experience working with people in group situations with individuals who have mental health or developmental problems preferred. One year employment with facility required to serve as a mentor. Shifts available: Evening shift available from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, (8 hour shift) Day shift available from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, (8 hour shift) Must be 21 years of age or older.
