General Description


The Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of the boysโ€™ soccer program, including player development, practice planning, game management, and program culture.


Key Areas of Responsibility

The key responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:


๏‚ท Develop and implement a comprehensive soccer program.

๏‚ท Plan and conduct practices that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

๏‚ท Supervise assistant coaches and student-athletes.

๏‚ท Promote academic achievement and positive character development.

๏‚ท Maintain communication with players, parents, and school administration.

๏‚ท Ensure compliance with school, league, and MHSAA regulations.

๏‚ท Assist with program growth and student recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

  • Previous soccer coaching experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of soccer fundamentals and strategy.

  • Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Must meet all school and MHSAA coaching requirements.

Schedule & Commitment

  • Practices typically held after school hours (3 days a week/ 2 Games per Week).

  • Attendance required at all home/away games

  • Season runs approximately from August through October

Compensation

  • Stipend position based on experience and school policy.
