About the Role

The Aftermarket Sales Account Manager has direct responsibility for exceeding the sales and profit targets for audits, maintenance programs, service agreements, MODs, upgrades, rebuilds, spare parts, field service and training for their assigned customer accounts and territory. Focus should be on proactively developing, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities.

In summary, this role will develop, prospect, and sell MGS products and services. This professional will be charged with defining and communicating requirements to customers, as well as selling the optimal solution to the customer and closing profitable business.

  • Identify and sell After Sales opportunities; provide the customer with a complete solution including parts, conversions, service, and training.
  • Build customer relationships in a professional manner through solution-orientated communications and helping customers manage their assets.
  • Act as the technical expert to the customer for MGS After Sales products.
  • Prospect and penetrate assigned accounts independently on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and coordinate the quoting of products/services with the support from internal departments.
  • Sell upgrades, rebuilds, spare parts, training, audits, service agreements, and service on existing and new machine equipment.
  • Clearly define and communicate customer requirements and specifications to ensure timely delivery of proposals.
  • Manage commercial aspects of the order including order acknowledgement, resolution of open issues, invoicing, collection of payments, and customer changes.
  • Generate accurate sales forecasts to give the organization a clear understanding of future business.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute machine specific promotional programs.
  • Lead and manage After Sales campaigns for MGS products and services.
  • Travel to customer locations regularly.
  • Responsible for updating key customer information such as contacts, sales visits, opportunities, emails, phone calls, offers, etc. in the MGS CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics) daily.
What You Need to Be Successful
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or equivalent combined experience with an emphasis on technical selling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate active listening, organized presentation, and effective writing skills; Persuasive in interactions with others.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the ability to effectively utilize CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Technical knowledge of packaging equipment or related industry.
  • Understanding of commercial terms and ability to negotiate and resolve commercial issues with customers.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Willingness to travel 60%-75%; estimated 2-3 overnight stays per week.

The salary range for this position is between $72,000 and $94,000 annually. MG aims to ensure that compensation reflects the skills, experience, and performance of everyone in their current role. The salary range considers a variety of factors, including education, work experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. As a result, compensation for the selected candidate(s) may fall anywhere within this range. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your overall well-being. This includes health benefits, retirement plans, financial wellness resources, paid time off, and other perks. Please note that benefits may differ based on role, location, and employment status. You may also be eligible for an annual incentive program, which is contingent on both individual and company performance.
