As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough intake assessments with new clients to accurately evaluate and diagnose mental health needs.
• Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to client circumstances.
• Documenting session progress and maintaining comprehensive client records, including progress notes, termination summaries, and any necessary case transfers, in adherence to policy guidelines.
• Assisting in coordinating specialized services within the Behavioral Health Department, such as leading initiatives that foster community partnerships focused on preventive mental health services.
• Engaging in crisis management, providing support to clients in acute distress, and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.

This role primarily serves a diverse client population with varying mental health needs, including individuals and families coping with relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and transitional life challenges. As an LMFT, you will play a critical role in creating a safe and therapeutic environment that fosters healing and growth for clients navigating these complex issues.

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• A valid and current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) compliant with Oregon state regulations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and meet client needs in a timely manner.

We prefer applicants who have:

• A minimum of two years' experience in direct mental health service delivery, with a focus on crisis intervention and management.
• A background in working with a diverse clientele in a community health setting or similar environment.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and trauma-informed care.
