Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental and emotional health backgrounds.
  • Designing individualized treatment plans based on assessments and client input, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed.
  • Providing tailored therapy sessions, whether one-on-one or with couples, focusing on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and building healthier relationships.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating treatment strategies as clients evolve, making adjustments to meet their ongoing needs.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records of each client's progress, treatment plans, and case histories while adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team discussions to provide holistic care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Providing crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute distress, while empowering them through advocacy and support.
  • Staying abreast of emerging research and trends in marriage and family therapy to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Engaging in professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will encompass a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, from young teens to older adults. You will be working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and various other mental health challenges. The focus will be on creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment that fosters trust and openness, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and feelings deeply.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective individual and couples therapy.
  • Proficiency in completing client assessments, treatment plans, and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with familiarity in navigating electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience

While all applications will be considered, preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Experience working with varied populations, particularly children and adolescents.
  • A background in using telehealth platforms to deliver therapy services.
  • Experience in crisis intervention settings.
Compensation and Benefits
