Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with families through virtual or in-office sessions, conducting thorough assessments to identify vital issues impacting their dynamics.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches to educate clients on how their behaviors affect their relationships, offering insights based on best practices in family therapy.
• Develop tailored intervention plans that propose actionable, realistic solutions to the challenges presented by clients, allowing families to work collaboratively towards desired outcomes.
• Guide clients through the therapeutic process, helping them work through grief, improve communication strategies, and enhance parenting techniques to foster a healthier family environment.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on progress and feedback, considering the unique cultural backgrounds of each family.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work mainly with diverse family units and couples facing various issues such as relationship conflicts, communication breakdowns, parenting challenges, and transitions related to life events. Our clients range from families seeking to improve their interactions to individuals coping with grief and loss. Your work will significantly contribute to the improvement of their emotional well-being and relationship satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• A valid and active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster open dialogue with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated understanding of best practices in family therapy and counseling techniques.
• A compassionate demeanor, showcasing sensitivity to client needs and cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Previous professional experience in a clinical setting as a marriage or family therapist is preferred.
• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms effectively when delivering therapy sessions.
• Familiarity withspecific therapeutic models, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
