Maple Valley Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team, offering remote mental health services. In this full-time position, you will be at the forefront of guiding individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. Your expertise will make a profound impact on clients navigating various life challenges, providing care that is both empathetic and results-driven.

About the Organization

At Maple Valley Counseling Center, located in picturesque Bend, Oregon, we specialize in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families who often face barriers in accessing care. Our mission is to enhance the mental well-being of our clients through accessible and personalized interventions. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and collaborative environment that empowers counselors to thrive professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, utilizing telehealth capabilities to reach clients wherever they are. As part of our dynamic team, you will have access to modern telecommunication tools designed to facilitate engaging and effective therapy sessions. Our virtual environment allows for diversity in client backgrounds and needs, ensuring that your practice is vibrant and continually evolving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to clients' unique needs and circumstances.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused therapy, to groups, families, couples, and individuals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, sharing insights to create a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses all aspects of client care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards in mental health practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance, evaluating therapeutic progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment modalities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals battling mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our commitment to equitable care ensures LGBTQ+ individuals and underserved communities are prioritized, allowing you to make a significant impact in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, particularly in a clinical setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse treatment is highly desirable.
  • Experience delivering therapy via telehealth platforms would be an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and client caseload. You will benefit from a steady stream of client referrals, allowing for an enriching professional experience. Our administrative team provides support with billing and documentation, enabling you to focus more on client care and less on paperwork.

Career Growth Opportunities

As part of Maple Valley Counseling Center, you will have access to numerous opportunities for professional development. Engage in continuing education workshops, specialized training programs, and peer supervision that cater to your growth as a counselor. We encourage our team to develop their skills and expertise, positioning you for leadership roles within the organization as you advance your career.
