Much of the role centers on outreach and building rapport with the military community to make support services accessible. While some flexibility is required, MFLCs generally maintain regular weekday hours with occasional evening or weekend commitments based on client needs.

These skills are crucial to effectively support military service members and their families as they navigate unique personal and emotional challenges.
