Job description

What The Position is About:

  • Manage and oversee the accounting department and all accounting functions
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes, automation, and reporting systems for efficiency
  • Manage multi-state job costing
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage third-party relationships
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial stability
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
  • Manage AP & AR and oversee payroll processing

 

The Right Candidate Will Have:

  • 2+ years in a Controller or senior financial leadership role within the construction, home improvement, or project-based industry
  • Multi-state job costing experience
  • Experience implementing systems and improving business practices
  • The ability to build reporting layers and answer “why” questions
