Job description

Overview

We're looking for a machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC lathes, read prints and GD&T, make offsets, and take parts through first-article inspection. You'll work on tight-tolerance aerospace and medical components in a small shop where machinists own their setups and work directly with engineering and quality.

Must Have:

• Independent CNC lathe setup experience

• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T

• Experience with precision measurement and first-article inspection

• Ability to troubleshoot tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds

• Reliable commute to Pomona for the day shift

Nice to Have:

• Fanuc controls• Live tooling, Y-axis, sub-spindle, or bar feeder experience• Aerospace, medical, AS9100, or ISO job-shop experience• Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, or titanium

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC lathe operator or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine set-up procedures.
  • Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming languages.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machining environment.
