Job description

CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN
This position plays a critical role in supporting our high-precision metrology lab by performing in-house calibrations and assisting with the repair of laser-based measurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
§ Calibrate high-precision laser measurement systems and other instruments per documented procedures
§ Receive and check in customer equipment for calibration
§ Complete accurate documentation (digital and/or paper) for all work performed
§ Assist with proper packaging and shipment of equipment to customers
§ Maintain a clean and safe lab environment
§ Support the shipment of equipment to and from field engineers and customers
§ Communicate inventory needs to Supervisor/Manager
§ Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements
• Associate degree or equivalent required
• Coursework or interest in mechatronics, electronics, or mechanical systems preferred
• Experience with optical or electro-mechanical assembly a plus
• Familiarity with hand tools and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, multimeters, micrometers)
• Understanding of calibration traceability and industry best practices
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and math skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
