Job description

Role Description: Low-Voltage Security Systems Field Technician II role offers the opportunity to work for a growing company alongside a master security systems technician, building and applying a diverse skillset in support of the installation and maintenance of surveillance and access control systems for a variety of customers across Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair surveillance and access control systems
  • Diagnose a variety of electrical, networking, and hardware issues
  • Mount and wire access control panels
  • Mount, aim and configure surveillance cameras
  • Install peripheral door components such as request-to-exit motion sensors, door contacts, readers, and locks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with low-voltage cabling
  • Minimum 1 years experience with IP-based networking and surveillance and access control systems
  • Ability and desire to prioritize quality of work over task completion
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic hand and power tools
  • Mature, reliable and professional
  • Ability to report to job sites across the Washington D.C. metro area
  • Pass a comprehensive background check
  • US citizenship or permanent resident status
