At Orchard Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, we believe that safe, reliable transportation is essential to supporting resident independence, access to care, and overall quality of life. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Van Driver is responsible for transporting residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations safely, courteously, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities for Van Driver:
  • Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and approved destinations in facility vehicles.
  • Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed while ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle in accordance with facility and safety standards.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate any delays or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
  • Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.

Qualifications for Van Driver:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving practices.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience transporting patients to and from medical appointments required.
  • Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and the public.
