Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for the personal and comfort needs of the patient.

  • North 5 General & Womens Surgery
    • Shift:
      • Full-Time Nights
  • North 6 General Surgery Med/Surg
    • Shifts:
      • Full-Time Days
      • Part-Time Nights, Weekends Only
  • Powell 4 Stroke/Neuro/Medical
    • Shifts:
      • Full-Time Nights
      • Part-Time Days
  • Powell 5 Surg/Neuro/Ortho
    • Shift:
      • Part-Time Nights
  • Younker 5 Med/Surg
    • Shift:
      • Part-Time Nights
  • Younker 7 Med/Surg

Shift Differentials:
  • Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked 3pm-7am

Responsibilities
  • PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications
Experience: Must be at least 16 years old
Please note: Some positions may require at least 18 years old
License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:
  1. CNA Certification preferred
  2. Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification
  3. Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
  4. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire

Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided
