Job description

Carolinas Staffing is looking for a Long-Term Temporary Water Meter Reader in Bolivia, NC!

Some experience with public utilities or maintenance is preferred but not required.
Duties:
  • Go out and read water meters throughout Brunswick County.
  • Identify the correct meter/location
  • Confirm the account matches the disconnect order
  • Turn off the water at the meter (often using a curb stop key)
  • Record the final meter reading
  • Tag or document the shutoff
Requirements:
  • Drive county vehicle
  • Must Be able to walk from property to property, bending, and working outside.
  • Pre-Employment Testing: National Background, Drug Test, MVR, and possess an Active NC DL.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm (1 hr lunch)
Rate of Pay: $15.00/hr
