Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED certificate

6 - 12 months experience in Customer Relations

6 - 12 months experience in Utility Industry

Navajo Speaking desired

Valid Driver's License required (subject to motor vehicle record review)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Responsible for accurately reading multiple utility meters and entering the information into handheld meter reading device.

Connects/disconnects multiple utility services upon request of customer or for non-payment of delinquent accounts.

Installs, removes and/or changes out meters.

Conducts all job duties in a safety conscious manner that reflects safety for others as well as self in work habits and in carrying out assignments.

Prepares correspondence and generates reports as required.

Acts as a liaison between customers and the Authority.

Examines meters for evidence of tampering and removes unauthorized illegal devices and reports findings to the supervisor.

Organizes workload to ensure production deadlines are met.

Operates a company vehicle and assures that company vehicle is properly cared for.

Translates information from one language to another.

Ensures appliance pilot lights are relit for natural gas service, as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
