Meter Specialist


Consolidated Pipe & Supply is a full-line supplier, fabricator, and manufacturer of pipe, valve, and fitting products and services to the natural gas, waterworks, energy, and industrial sectors.

Summary:

Serves as skilled technical support for the sales team and advises the customer on troubleshooting technical issues, providing training, and providing sales guidance. Provides support in utility material measurement, data automation technologies, and software.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers.
  • Delivers solution-sales-oriented technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customers for specific technical products and/or applications of products.
  • Influences customer specifications for customer and company benefit.
  • Provides strategic directions to the local sales team and drives a team-friendly sales process with customers.
  • Serves as technical expert for the sales team and advises the customer on troubleshooting technical issues, training, and offering solution-oriented sales guidance.
  • Provides technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing, and program management representatives.
  • Requires servicing technology in both an office environment as well as in a field setting.
  • Lead presentations to high-level leadership.
  • Perform as primary local contact liaison with customer for contract negotiations and contract maintenance.
