Job description

Peak Utility Infrastructure is an integrated engineering and construction company that serves the Electric, Natural Gas, and Telecommunications industries.ย  We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services, including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through our operating subsidiaries: SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers, 5 Star Electric, Superior Hydrovac and Superior Pipeline Services.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Essential Functions:ย

Roles and Responsibilities:ย 

  • Driving (75%/day)ย 
  • Entering residential and commercial property to access the electric meter to perform required workย 
  • Services provided: Setting, changing, or disconnecting the electric meter as well as reading investigationย 
  • Working with energized electric equipment to respond to meter issue for Xcelย 
  • Providing customer service with a responsibility to humility and to the customers we serveย 
  • Working with pride and a high quality of workmanshipย 

Success Factors:ย 

  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.ย 
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shiftย 
  • Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneelingย 
  • Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructionsย 
  • Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workersย 
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policyย 
  • English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reportsย

Experience and Education:ย 

  • Two (2+) plus years of customer service experienceย 
  • One (2+) plus years of working with electricity and on ladders preferredย ย 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basisย 

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:ย 

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driverโ€™s License is required within two weeks of employment.ย 
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.ย
