Description
Material Handler
As a material handler, you'll provide support for all warehouse functions including, but not limited to outgoing and incoming meters, material distribution, meter preparation and testing, receiving, and directing visitors, completion of essential paperwork, and distribution of information to appropriate departments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Assign meters/materials to installation techs for daily work
  • Complete data entry for incoming and outgoing meters, and research and respond to all meter/AMI-related inquiries.
  • Perform other tasks as required by Material Manager and Project Management.
  • Embrace and enforce Meter Services Safety Policy and Core Values.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read maps and navigate in congested areas.
  • Ability to independently manage own time by prioritizing, planning, and organizing work to complete workload and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with little supervision
  • Computer and smartphone literate
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. throughout the day
  • Ability to pull, lift, push, pick up and place down items throughout the day
  • This is a minimum 40-hour workweek with Saturdays considered inclement weather make-up days.
  • Ability to obtain DOT Med Card within 90 days of employment.

Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience in the use of hand and power tools.
  • 3+ years of driving experience with minimal non-moving violations.

Pre-Screen:
  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to obtain DOT Med Card with 90 days of employment.

Travel Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location.
