Natural Gas Meter Technician job at American Energy Resources. Amarillo, TX. We’re hiring driven, hands‑on individuals to train as a Natural Gas Field Technician. If you’re comfortable working outdoors, enjoy traveling, and want a stable career with excellent benefits, this is your opportunity. Our team works hard and is rewarded with great pay, consistent hours, and a 4‑day workweek (Monday through Thursday) or 5‑day workweek (Monday through Friday). This role includes travel (3 weeks on, 1 week off), great lodging, a fully equipped company vehicle, and weekly direct deposit.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the company vehicle and ensure the equipment is in safe working condition
  • Lead project execution and support crew safety and compliance
  • Install, repair, and maintain natural gas meters following standard operating procedures
  • Travel regularly with the team to job sites as scheduled
  • Track work progress and submit accurate reports

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel extensively (3 weeks on, 1 week off)
  • Physically able to work in various weather conditions
  • Prior field tech, utility, plumbing, or construction experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
