Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Metal Stud Framers for projects located in or around Bolingbrook, IL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $35-$45/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Carpenter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:     

  • Layout and install light and heavy gauge metal stud framing for walls, ceilings, soffits, and bulkheads
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications
  • Measure, cut, and assemble metal studs and track according to project requirements
  • Install framing systems that are plumb, level, square, and in compliance with project specifications
  • Install backing, blocking, furring channels, and related framing components
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, laser levels, and layout equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Identify and communicate project issues or discrepancies to supervisors
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial metal stud framing experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
  • Strong understanding of framing layouts, measurements, and installation techniques
  • Experience using framing tools and equipment safely
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and work overhead for extended periods
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required

Preferred:

  • Experience with drywall hanging and acoustical ceiling systems
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience working on commercial, health-care, educational, or industrial construction projects
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts and scissor lifts
  • Knowledge of fire-rated wall assemblies and specialty framing systems
