*Note… This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity***

This position REQUIRES experience as a Manufacturing Press & Machine repair person. Valid experience would be repair work on Metal Stamping Presses, Weld Cells, Compressors etc… Please be mindful of this requirement when you apply for this position

Additionally, the successful candidate for this position must be able to reliably transport themselves between two plant locations , as this position will support maintenance activities in two plants.

SUMMARY

  • Repairs and maintains mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as coil fed - metal stamping presses, metal fabricating machine tools, material handling system, and automated lubrication system by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS: (In addition to the above)

  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
  • Performs maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical presses
  • Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches.
  • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Repairs broken parts. Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.
  • Modifies computer-controlled motion of automation.
