Job Description:

KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Shear Operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 3rd shift. 3rd shift individuals receive an hourly shift differential of $3.00. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment.

Job Duties:

The shear operator is responsible for setting up the Haven Shear and End Finisher as well as making adjustments to ensure accurate product is being produced.  The position is also responsible for:

  • Complete daily, safety inspections of the shear and end finisher
  • Cut the correct materials according to the shop orders
  • Change blades as necessary
  • Change and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and length
  • Transport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system.
  • Perform multiple tasks to ISO Quality Standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Value Added Skills:

  • Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required
  • Communication skills
  • Computer knowledge
  • Willingness to learn
  • Must be able to take measurements by using the decimal system
  • Ability to read KI print will be useful

Physical Requirements:

  • Working in areas where it can get warm
  • Working in a smoke free environment
  • Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow

Shift:

  • This is a 3rd Shift position
  • Hours are 10pm – 6am Sunday night - Friday Morning 
  • Shift premium of $3.00/hour
  • Overtime during busy season
