Experienced Metal Building & Roofing Installer

Location: [Houston, TX / Service Area]
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: [$20 - $30] – Based on Experience

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced field personnel to join our construction team. This position is primarily focused on metal building construction, metal roofing, wall panels, trim, flashing, repairs, and related installation work.

We are looking for dependable individuals who already have construction experience and understand what is expected on an active jobsite. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, working at heights, using construction tools, and completing quality work while maintaining a safe and organized jobsite.

This is not an entry-level position. Preference will be given to applicants with direct experience in metal buildings, commercial metal roofing, sheet metal, or similar construction trades.

Responsibilities

  • Install metal roofing and wall panel systems
  • Install metal building components, trim, flashing, closures, and accessories
  • Perform repairs and modifications to existing metal buildings and roofing systems
  • Measure, cut, fit, and fasten metal panels and components
  • Use hand tools, power tools, drills, impact drivers, grinders, saws, and other construction equipment
  • Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work areas
  • Assist with material handling, staging, and jobsite organization
  • Follow project drawings, measurements, and supervisor instructions
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area
  • Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
  • Identify installation problems and communicate them to the field supervisor
  • Work effectively with other crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently

Experience We Are Looking For

Applicants should have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Pre-engineered metal buildings
  • Commercial metal roofing
  • Metal wall panel installation
  • R-panel or similar exposed-fastener systems
  • Standing-seam roofing
  • Sheet metal trim and flashing
  • Building repairs and leak repairs
  • Structural steel or metal building components
  • Construction layout and measurements
  • Operating aerial lifts or similar equipment

Requirements

  • Previous construction experience required
  • Metal building or metal roofing experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure
  • Ability to safely operate common construction tools
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to lift and carry construction materials
  • Reliable transportation to the designated meeting point or jobsite
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew
  • Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Several years of metal building or roofing experience
  • Experience installing trim and flashing
  • Experience troubleshooting leaks or performing repair work
  • Experience operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, or telehandlers
  • OSHA or other construction safety training
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read construction drawings or plans
  • Experience leading or assisting other crew members
