UBC/NMRCC MICHIGAN CARPENTERS is seeking experienced JOURNEYMEN COMMERCIAL INTERIOR & EXTERIOR METAL STUD & DRYWALL CARPENTERS to join our organization. If you are an experienced Journeymen Carpenter in the field of Interior & exterior Carpentry with knowledge in Metal Stud framing/Hanging Drywall/Acoustical Ceilings/Trim work/Doors & Hardware/Blueprint Reading/Etc. with good transportation, the jobs will be in the Detroit and Tri County/Southeastern, Mi area. This is your chance to advance your career.

Starting pay for Journeymen Commercial Carpenters is $44.97 Base wage on the Check with a total package of $77.46 which includes pension, Annuity, Healthcare, Dental & Vision.

Starting pay for 1st year Apprentice's is 60% of Journeymen Pay which is $26.98 Base wage on the check and a total package of $50.55, Apprentice's attend school one day every 2 weeks for 4 years, they also will receive a 10% Raise once a year until they reach journeymen level.

Specific Responsibilities:

• As a UBC MICHIGAN journeyman Commercial Carpenter you will be responsible for Layout, Metal Stud Wall Framing, Hanging Drywall, acoustical ceilings, Etc. For offices & Buildings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in carpentry field or more
  • Must be Proficient in Production Metal Stud Framing & Production Drywall
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PAST A DRUG TEST
  • Familiar with Blueprint reading/ Acoustical ceilings/metal studs/Drywall/layout
  • GOOD TRANSPORTATION
  • Not afraid of Heights, Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts

** Additional Requirements**

  • Experience working as a Carpenter
  • Understanding of and the ability to follow jobsite safety requirements
  • Ability to work well with others in a crew
  • Compliance to zero Tolerance drug policy
  • Good Attitude
  • good transportation, the jobs will be in the Detroit and Tri County/Southeastern, Mi area

Applicants must be able to physically perform strenuous construction tasks.


60 hours a week at $44.97/hour plus full benefits (full package is $77.46/hour).
