Job Description:

  • WE WILL TRAIN YOU TO WELD! IF YOU LIKE TO BUILD THINGS, CHECK OUT THIS OPPORTUNITY!
  • Lay out, fit, cut, and weld fabricated hollow metal material to assemble hollow metal frames.
  • Setup, operate, and maintain welding and cutting equipment to weld material using electric welding (MIG).
  • Grind welds flush and smooth with proper feathering of welded/ground area to flat surfaces. Clean and prepare frame for prime paint.
  • Set-up and operate various bench and hand power tools including grinders, cut-off saws, and drills.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities.
  • Position is generally 7:00 โ€“ 3:30 Monday โ€“ Friday; however, overtime is mandatory at times.
Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work safely.
  • Attention to quality.
  • Ability to read and obtain information from shop orders, shop drawings, and frames regarding prepping, assembly, and welding requirements of frames.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors, lead people, hollow metal office personnel, and other shop personnel.
  • Previous experience in the construction / carpentry field is a plus.
  • Any experience with commercial doors and frames is a plus.
  • Auto-body repair work experience is a plus.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical fit test, drug screen, and background check.
