Components Sales & Business Development Representative


Location: New Braunfels, TX


Compensation: Hourly Base + Commission + Performance Incentives


Job Type: Full-time


Travel: Approximately 25%


Work Location: In person

A growing metal building organization is looking for an experienced Components Sales & Business Development Representative to help expand its metal building components and pre-engineered building business.

This is a hands-on sales role for someone with experience in metal buildings, building materials, or a related construction industry. The position combines sales, estimating, customer relationship management, and business development.

You'll work with contractors, builders, developers, and end users to identify opportunities, prepare estimates and proposals, develop relationships, and manage projects from the initial inquiry through order placement and delivery.

The ideal candidate understands construction materials, can read building drawings, and has a proven ability to develop business and grow sales.


What You'll Do

  • Develop new business and grow sales of metal building components and pre-engineered buildings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and end users
  • Identify new opportunities and expand existing customer relationships
  • Review architectural, structural, and metal building drawings to prepare estimates and quotations
  • Prepare bids, proposals, pricing packages, and basic drawings
  • Work with engineering, detailing, production, and project management teams to move projects forward
  • Manage opportunities from initial inquiry through order placement and delivery
  • Help customers with product selection, value engineering, and project solutions
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline
  • Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for growth
  • Meet or exceed sales and profitability goals

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in metal buildings, building materials, or a related construction industry
  • Experience with construction materials, estimating, quoting, or pricing
  • Strong understanding of metal building components and systems is preferred
  • Experience with Weld-Up and/or Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proven sales and business development experience
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working with customers, pricing, estimates, and project details
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 25%
