Job Title: PRODUCTION

Compensation may include an additional 15%-20% of base pay if employees participate in our Journeyman program.

Days to be worked: 4-day work week Monday- Thursday

Hours to be worked: 3:30PM-2:00AM

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Able to perform basic math.
  • Able to work any shift
  • Speak/read English

Job Description:

Any repetitious motions: Bending, Lifting (include maximum #’s required), walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, twisting, climbing, handling, etc.: FORMING SCREENS INVOLVES HEAVY LIFTING AND TWISTING,

STOOPING, PUSHING, AND PULLING OF SCREENS WITH A PARTNER. SCREENS CAN WEIGH UP TO 100 POUNDS EACH.

Driving Requirements: OCCASIONAL FORKLIFT OPERATION AS NEEDED.

Position changes, or long periods of no changes: PRODUCTION WORKER POSITION INVOLVES A LARGE NUMBER OF SKILLS AND ACTIONS. POSITION CHANGES ARE FREQUENT AND VARIED, BUT CAN OCCASIONALLY BE STATIC FOR UP TO 2 HOURS AT A TIME

Environmental factors: inside, outside, cold, hot conditions, noises, fumes, dust, chemical exposures, etc.: 95% OF ALL WORK IS INSIDE THE FACILITY WHERE THE CONDITIONS CAN RANGE FROM APPROXIMATELY 38 DEGREES (F) DURING THE WINTER MONTHS, TO 110 DEGREES (F) DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. THE FACILITY CAN BE NOISY AT TIMES AS WELL AS DUSTY FROM ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS AND WIRE COATINGS. GAS FUMES AND SMOKE CAN BE PRESENT NEAR THE FURNACE, BUT SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE IF NECESSARY

Machine operation, tools used, equipment exposures during the course of the job: A PRODUCTION WORKER IS EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO OPERATE ALL OF THE MACHINERY ASSOCIATED WITH THE FORMING OF WOVEN WIRE CLOTH. TOOLS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

HYDRAULIC AND MECHANICAL SHEARS

HYDRAULIC AND MECHANICAL PRESS BRAKES

FLOOR SHEARS

GAS OR MIG WELDERS

CUT-OFF SAW
