Job Summary:
This position works independently or within a team to assemble metal parts by operating a machine and using fixtures.
Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operates machine, fixtures and tools to permanently install fasteners into detail parts or assemblies.
• Positions parts on metal fixture on workstation as required for assembly.
• Adjusts as necessary to maintain quality parts.
• Positions containers of needed parts near station for use.
• Retrieves and loads onto station all parts for assembly.
• Retrieves empty containers for finished assemblies.
• Inspects parts for quality.
• Reports quantities of non-conforming parts disposed of.
• Performs operator maintenance for machines and tools.
• Communicates machine or fixture problems for correction.
• Retrieves and applies specified lubricants to assemblies.
• Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic math knowledge
• Achieve performance standards
