Municipal Emergency Services (MES), the nation's largest provider of firefighter equipment and service, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our regional field service team.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving operations, building customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and coach a team of field service technicians.
  • Participate in hiring processes for your assigned territory. Oversee scheduling and daily service operations.
  • Build strong relationships with fire departments and municipal customers.
  • Partner with Sales to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Travel regularly throughout your region to support technicians and customers.
  • Monitor KPIs, improve operational performance, and drive business results.
  • Take ownership of customer issues until they are resolved.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Leadership experience managing field service or technical teams.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with scheduling and operational management.

Requirements


Qualifications Required

  • 3+ years of field service leadership experience
  • Background in fire service equipment, HVAC, automotive, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, medical equipment, utilities, or similar industries
  • College degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license (REAL-ID required for access to federal facilities)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience leading field service or technical service operations
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, business software and systems

Preferred

  • Experience leading and managing mobile technicians
  • Experience with ERP or service management software
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience managing KPIs and operational performance
