These jobs are commonly found in government or civil service sectors, where applicants compete through standardized exams or assessments. The goal is to ensure a fair and transparent hiring process that rewards merit and competence. Employees in merit-based positions often have protections related to job security and advancement opportunities based on their performance.

These skills ensure accurate merit assessments and fair compensation practices, supporting organizational equity and employee satisfaction.
