Cadence is seeking a highly structured and detail-oriented Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This mid-tier role is an exceptional opportunity for a program management professional to help build, structure and operationalize our M&A and Integration function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, demonstrated experience with digitization and various project management tools, and an interest in leveraging AI to drive efficiencies. While prior M&A experience is not required, a passion for process development and improvement and a collaborative spirit are essential.

What You'll Do:

As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in the successful integration of acquired companies.Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Operationalize M&A Function: Help build and operationalize the M&A/Integration function through development of processes and playbook.

Develop Playbooks: Create, refine, and manage integration and front-end playbooks, requiring strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Manage SharePoint Sites and other Collaboration Mechanisms: Stand up and maintain organized and accessible SharePoint sites for M&A projects.

Drive Meeting Cadence: Facilitate and drive a regular meeting cadence on deals, ensuring cross-functional coordination and alignment.

Track Integration Plans: Diligently track and manage detailed integration plans to ensure all milestones are met.

Create Dashboards: Develop and maintain dashboards to provide clear visibility into integration progress and key metrics.

Meeting Support: Take detailed notes and document meeting minutes as needed to ensure clear communication and follow-up.

Process Improvement: Help to evolve the M&A practice by identifying and implementing efficiencies, with a focus on leveraging AI and other digital tools.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in project management and a desire to grow in the M&A space.

  • Experience:A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in project/program management, PMO, or a related operations role.
  • Education: BA / BS degree from a leading academic institution;PMP or related certification(s) is a strong plus
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Office suite (Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel).
    • Demonstrated experience with project management tools and digitization.
  • AI Proficiency:An interest in and some level of proficiency with AI and its application in driving business efficiencies.
  • Tool Exposure:Experience with tools such as Tableau, SmartSheet, Jira, or other similar project management software is highly valued.
  • Soft Skills:
    • A highly structured and organized approach to program management.
    • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
    • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong interest in process improvement.

The annual salary range for California is $88,200 to $163,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
