Clinical Pharmacist – Pediatrics Focus

Works with members of the health care team to provide safe and effective drug therapy. Serves as a drug information resource to pharmacy, nursing, and medical staffs as well as to patients. Key Responsibilities Clinical Patient Care

  • Support staff competency development and continuing education initiatives.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and licensure requirements.
Quality & Operational Excellence
  • Participate in medication use evaluations, quality assurance activities, adverse drug reaction reporting, and policy reviews.
  • Assist with investigational protocols and departmental initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Complete required medication inspections, floor stock reviews, safety checks, and competency requirements.
Qualifications Required Education
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
Required Licensure
  • Current Pharmacist license in the state of practice
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of clinical pharmacy experience
  • PGY‑1 Residency preferred
  • Experience in pediatric clinical pharmacy strongly preferred
Technology Skills

Experience with:

  • Epic or similar pharmacy information systems
  • Clinical documentation platforms
  • Micromedex and other drug information resources
  • Pharmacy automation systems including Omnicell, McKesson Automation, ScriptPro, Baxa, and related technologies
