Responsibilities
As one of the providers for a busy Endocrinology practice, the Nurse Practitioner will get a chance to work with a diverse population within Mercy's Center for Endocrinology. This role in particular supports the health of multiple communities throughout Baltimore Metro area and makes a true difference in the quality of care patients receive. The Nurse Practitioner will take the time to learn about their patient and educate them on their conditions, playing a pivotal role in the patients overall health goals.
This position travels to Mercy's locations in downtown Baltimore, Glen Burnie, Lutherville, and Columbia.
We are seeking candidates with previous experience working in Endocrinology specifically. At least a few years of experience in this specialty is preferred.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Prescribing necessary medications and tests.
  • Educating diabetic patients on the use of CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) systems
  • Being available to patients, providers, and staff via Epic messaging for consults.

Requirements
  • Masters in Nursing: Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • License Requirements
    • The CRNP should be qualified and duly licensed and registered to practice medicine in Maryland and shall have current federal and Maryland narcotics numbers
    • Required CRNP
    • Required Healthcare Provider Level CPR
  • Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.

Salary Information
Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
