The Nurse Extern assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient's highest level of wellness working cooperatively with others as part of the healthcare team and performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks within the nurse extern scope.Position Details:Launch Your Nursing Career with Confidence

The Mercy Nursing Externship is an exclusive, paid winter experience designed for nursing students who are eager to accelerate their growth, build confidence, and gain meaningful hands-on experience alongside some of the most compassionate and skilled nurses in healthcare.

As a Mercy Nursing Extern, you'll work approximately 24 hours per week (two 12-hour shifts) and rotate through a variety of nursing units, gaining exposure to diverse patient populations and specialty areas while learning directly from experienced Mercy nurses who are invested in your success.
