Find your calling at Mercy!Position Details:Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory TechnicianPRN - flexible hours and scheduling!Mercy Hospital Logan County - Guthrie, OK

The Medical Technologist/MLT is part of the provider care team who helps with diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions through the use of technical and scientific knowledge. This position is responsible for accurate, precise, and timely performance of laboratory tests.

Medical Lab Technician Qualifications:

Education: Be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).
OR
Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and have documentation of training appropriate for the testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens.
Experience: 1 year of acceptable clinical laboratory experience.
Preferred Education: Associate's degree in chemistry, biology or other science related field that meets requirements for certification agency requirements.
Preferred Certifications: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.

Medical Technologist Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certifications: MLT or MLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire (OR completion of a 50-week US Military medical laboratory training course).

Experience: 3 years of acceptable clinical laboratory experience preferred.
