In this role, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting providers in a collaborative outpatient setting. This position offers a great opportunity to work closely with both patients and providers, combining hands-on clinical care with meaningful patient communication and care coordination.Position Details:

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift

What You'll Do

As an Outpatient RN, you will play a key role in supporting patient care across the clinic by:

  • Rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, and assessing patient conditions
  • Preparing patients for examinations and ensuring a safe, comfortable experience
  • Assisting providers with urology exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Administering injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal) and performing IV therapy
  • Supporting specialty procedures and assisting with lab and imaging needs
  • Managing patient communication, including phone calls, MyMercy messages, and follow-up on test results
  • Coordinating care and collaborating with providers and care team members
  • Accurately documenting clinical information, procedures, and coding in the electronic health record
  • Maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and medication safety in accordance with infection control standards
  • Responding to urgent situations and supporting emergency preparedness (including crash cart readiness)

This role also includes a strong focus on patient education, communication, and follow-up, helping ensure patients feel supported and informed throughout their care journey.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri

Certifications:

  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to assist in a variety of treatments and procedures
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or urgent situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to clinical guidelines and work collaboratively with a care team
  • Basic computer skills and ability to document in an electronic health record
