Clinical Operations Manager (Dermatology)


We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and compassionate Clinical Operations Manager to lead the daily operations across our two dermatology practice locations in Chicago. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can bridge the gap between clinical excellence and business efficiency to provide an exceptional patient experience at both sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily clinical workflows across both locations, ensuring efficiency in patient scheduling, room turnover, and provider support.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for clinical and administrative staff, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to ensure we have a high-performing, dedicated team.
  • Team Management: Mentor, train, supervise, and coordinate schedules for clinical staff (medical providers, medical assistants, students and administrative personnel) across both offices.
  • Consistency & Quality: Maintain a high and consistent standard of care and operational flow between both practice locations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure both practice sites remain fully compliant with HIPAA, OSHA, and other state/federal healthcare regulations.
  • Patient Experience: Serve as the primary point of contact for patient feedback, resolving concerns promptly and maintaining high patient satisfaction ratings at both locations.
  • Practice Optimization & Growth: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), manage supply inventory, and implement strategic process improvements to maximize revenue, reduce operational costs, and drive sustainable practice growth.
  • Provider Support: Coordinate closely with dermatologists and mid-level providers at both sites to ensure they have the resources needed to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical leadership role, preferably within a dermatology or medical setting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, practice management software, and MS Office.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, ability to manage conflict, and a strong understanding of clinical billing and insurance authorization processes. Ability to effectively manage and communicate across multiple sites.
