Job Description

The Wealth Management Services (WMS) Operations Manager is primarily responsible for all aspects of management over assigned teams within WMS providing leadership and oversight in daily operations, metric reporting, process improvement and the managing of compliance and risk exposure ensuring operational processes are executed accurately and efficiently while adhering to governing body regulations and achieving service level objectives. This position works with senior management to resolve high impact issues requiring urgent and immediate resolution.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • Lead – Provide staff with clear, concise guidance, set performance expectations, and deliver ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure adherence to internal standards and quality expectations.
  • Oversee – Manage daily department operations, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Resolve – Address complex operational issues that require independent judgment and decision-making beyond staff experience and authority.
  • Evaluate – Review internal policies, procedures, and programs to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
  • Implement – Recommend and execute process improvements, program enhancements, and operational changes that support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Mitigate – Minimize operational losses and market exposure through the establishment and monitoring of effective internal controls.
  • Ensure – Maintain consistent work procedures and operational practices that align with departmental priorities and broader divisional objectives.
  • Troubleshoot – Resolve technical issues related to departmental processes, systems, and equipment to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Collaborate – Partner with internal business units and external vendors to address operational needs, improve service delivery, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Optimize – Continuously assess and enhance department processes and procedures to meet customer needs and deliver a high-quality service experience.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance with 10-12 years of directly related experience in Wealth Management Operations, Securities and/or cash processing, and/or Risk management and at least 2 years of experience in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
