Based in NYC and Atlanta, our fast-growing fintech empowers large merchants with configurable "Pay-Over-Time" tools- including monthly installments, BNPL, and revolving products. We solve complex credit challenges with speed, precision, and intelligence-combining deep expertise with advanced tech to deliver better outcomes, every time. Our clients rely on us to help them serve their customers, grow, and build loyalty. Our values guide everything we do: we put merchants first, stay data-driven, always know the why, learn relentlessly, and win together as a team. This clarity of purpose fuels our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences at speed and scale. Role Overview We are seeking a VP / Director of Product - Merchant Integration to own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for how merchants and platform partners integrate with our embedded financing solutions. This role is responsible for deeply understanding merchant sales motions, checkout workflows, and operational processes, and translating those needs into scalable integration products that accelerate adoption and revenue. You will define the integration vision, design MVPs, prioritize future enhancements, and partner cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class merchant onboarding and activation experiences across our point-of-sale financing platform. Key Responsibilities Merchant-Centric Product Strategy
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for merchant and platform integrations across embedded financing offerings.
  • Develop a deep understanding of merchant business models, sales cycles, checkout flows, and operational constraints.
  • Define segmentation strategies (SMB vs enterprise, direct merchants vs platforms) and tailor integration approaches accordingly.
Integration Solutions & Product Design
  • Design integration solutions across multiple channels including hosted checkout, APIs, SDKs, plugins, and platform integrations.
  • Define MVP scope for new integration products with a clear path to scalable future enhancements.
  • Balance speed-to-market with long-term platform scalability and reliability.
Sales & Pre-Sales Partnership
  • Partner closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Partnerships teams to support merchant evaluations and deal structuring.
  • Translate merchant requirements into clear product capabilities, limitations, and implementation approaches.
  • Help shape commercial conversations by aligning product capabilities with merchant needs and sales strategy.
Execution & Delivery
  • Own product requirements, prioritization, and delivery in partnership with Engineering.
  • Ensure integrations are designed with strong documentation, developer experience, and operational readiness.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Merchant Enablement teams.
Platform Evolution & Optimization
  • Use merchant feedback, integration data, and performance metrics to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce time-to-integrate, improve conversion, and increase merchant adoption.
  • Lead continuous improvement of integration tooling, configuration, and self-serve capabilities.
Leadership & Influence
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of product managers focused on merchant and platform integrations (scope dependent).
  • Serve as a senior voice for merchant experience and integration strategy across the company.
  • Communicate product vision, trade-offs, and progress clearly to executive leadership.
Qualifications Required
  • 10+ years of experience in product management within fintech, payments, lending, or embedded finance.
  • 5+ years owning integration-heavy products such as APIs, platforms, or merchant-facing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of merchant checkout, POS, or platform-based commerce workflows.
  • Proven experience designing MVPs and scaling products based on real merchant adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.
Preferred
  • Experience in POS financing, BNPL, or consumer installment lending.
  • Experience working with platform partners, marketplaces, or e-commerce ecosystems.
  • Strong grasp of API-first product design and developer experience best practices.
  • Experience leading teams in high-growth fintech environments.
What Success Looks Like
  • Merchants and platforms integrate faster with fewer custom builds.
  • Sales cycles shorten due to clear, scalable integration options.
