Job description

Position Overview

As a Software Engineering Manager for Merchant Service Applications within PNC's Information Technology - Site Reliability Center (SRC), you will work at a PNC IT Hub based in Phoenix, Arizona, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or Dallas, Texas.
You will manage and support multiple complex merchant services applications and multiple teams. Focus of the role will be managing applications & stakeholder priorities, implementing Site Reliability Engineering best practices, application maintenance/support, security improvements, improving business and customer satisfaction and coaching team members.
Technical experience with JAVA background is strongly preferred. Additional work experience or knowledge on APIs, Database technologies, Linux/OpenShift and/or middleware technologies is a plus. Banking/financial industry experience is a plus.

Job Description
  • Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions.
  • Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
  • Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
  • Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
  • Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.
