Overview

The Sr. Manager, Marketplace Merchandising - HEYDUDE leads Amazon-first assortment strategy and drives profitable growth across key marketplace channels, including Amazon, Walmart.com, and Target+. Sitting within Global Merchandising, this role serves as the dedicated marketplace merchant for the brand, translating marketplace performance, consumer demand, and competitive trends into product, pricing, assortment, and inventory strategies.

Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, DTC, this role acts as a critical bridge between Global Merchandising and Commercial Marketplace teams-aligning product input, line architecture, and assortment strategy with in-market execution. The Sr. Manager operates with a high degree of autonomy, owning the marketplace business end-to-end while driving in-season performance and influencing future product direction.

What You'll Do
  • Lead marketplace assortment strategy across Amazon, Walmart.com, and Target+, building channel-right assortments aligned to revenue, margin, and brand objectives
  • Serve as the brand-dedicated marketplace merchant for HEYDUDE, representing marketplace needs within Global Merchandising and influencing Product, Category Management, and Planning
  • Translate marketplace performance, consumer demand, and competitive insights into actionable product input, influencing future assortments, carryover strategy, and line architecture
  • Own marketplace-specific SMU, exclusive, and tentpole strategies to drive incremental growth around key commercial moments
  • Partner with Commercial Marketplace teams to execute pricing updates, promotional strategies, and account-specific initiatives
  • Own marketplace product milestones and merchandising deliverables, including assortment reviews, GTM alignment, product presentations, and seasonal retrospectives
  • Lead the marketplace business rhythm, including KPI analysis, performance reporting, and action plans to improve conversion, sales, margin, and inventory productivity
  • Partner with Planning, Operations, and Commercial teams to align demand, inventory, purchase orders, and replenishment to marketplace needs while mitigating risks
What You'll Bring to the Table
  • BA/BS in Business, Merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, marketplace, or digital commerce roles, with demonstrated progression in scope and ownership
  • Deep experience with Amazon marketplace required; experience with Walmart.com and/or Target+ strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to operate as a single-brand merchant, owning assortment, pricing, product input, and performance for a defined channel
  • Strong experience influencing product creation, assortment architecture, and line planning based on channel-specific needs and performance insights
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate marketplace data, consumer behavior, and competitive trends into clear business actions
  • Strong understanding of marketplace execution, including pricing, promotions, inventory flow, product setup, and platform requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, influence cross-functional teams, and drive alignment across Global Merchandising and Commercial organizations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
