Job description

The Senior Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's inventory planning processes, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, forecasting methodologies, and inventory management best practices. The Manager will lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive continuous improvement in inventory efficiency and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement inventory planning strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with overall business objectives and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations teams to establish accurate demand forecasts.
  • Monitor key inventory performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, forecast accuracy, service levels, and unproductive inventory with reporting on performance to senior leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Inventory Planners and Analysts by fostering a high-performance, analytical, and collaborative culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting techniques, planning tools, and inventory processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of Forecasting and Fulfillment software as well as other various software applications, including Microsoft and Google.
  • Extensive Knowledge with Supply Chain processes and solutions which are global in nature, integrated with other process areas, scalable, flexible and follows industry best practices.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, utilizing a systematic approach to problem-solving and decision-making through meticulous examination of information and evaluation of diverse alternatives.
  • Possesses excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong listening abilities and business acumen.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, proceed with objectives with little or no supervision, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a business-related field
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in inventory planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 2-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Forecasting and Fulfillment software
  • Must be willing to travel for Company related functions as needed - requirements may vary
  • Must be able to work in person at the Orgill Corporate Office
