This role partners closely with Marketing, Digital, Senior Leadership, and Artist teams. This position sits at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and storytelling - turning signals from streaming, digital platforms, social media, and audience behavior into impactful artist and business insights that drive decision-making across the organization.
How You'll CREATE
  • Define and prioritize the analytics roadmap in alignment with label and artist strategy.
  • Translate complex datasets across DSPs, social platforms, audience engagement channels, and market trends into clear insights and compelling narratives for a range of audiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to connect business questions with data-driven answers, helping guide decisions around audience development, marketing and broader business strategy, and artist growth.
  • Identify key trends across streaming and digital platforms, social media, and fan engagement to uncover opportunities for artist growth and audience expansion.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, leveraging insights and business context to elevate decision-making and drive impact.
  • Design, develop, and refine analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that empower teams to explore insights independently and drive daily engagement with data.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of data and insights tools available across the company and manage relationships with central data teams.
  • Ensure our data infrastructure matches our strategic needs-connecting tools, enhancing data reliability, and improving accessibility.
  • Turn fast-moving, open-ended business questions into structured analyses grounded in data and business understanding.
  • Analyze why initiatives succeed or fall short, producing learnings that inform both near-term decisions and longer-term strategy.
  • Champion a culture of data-informed storytelling, ensuring insights are communicated in clear, visually compelling ways that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure weekly reporting, real-time communication on timely priorities, and share regular analysis and insights with label teams.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • Oversee and mentor the Data Analyst, ensuring quality, clarity, and impact of their work while setting high standards for analytics and execution.
  • Hire and onboard talent as needed; build a culture of ownership, learning, and strong craft.
  • Build a deep understanding of internal stakeholders and artist partners to ensure analytics solutions address the most meaningful business questions and creative opportunities.

Bring Your VIBE
  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, insights, strategy, consulting, or similar analytical roles.
  • Proficiency working with analytical tools including SQL, Python, and similar platforms.
  • Music, media, entertainment, or consumer analytics experience preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • Passion for music, culture, and the evolving ways fans discover and engage with artists.
  • Experience analyzing trends across streaming platforms, social media, and digital consumption patterns.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, DOMO, or similar platforms to present insights clearly.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience working with data sources via APIs or large-scale datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort building dynamic models when needed.
  • Ability to distill complex information into concise, actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience leading data projects or small teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to tell compelling stories with data.
