Main responsibilities:

  • Help oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness
  • Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front‑faced, and merchandised to company standards
  • Assist with executing planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising
  • Assist with managing orders, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization
  • Assist with monitoring shrink and implementing procedures to reduce waste and loss
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards
  • Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment
  • Perform Grocery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Grocery Manager
