Revit MEP Tech III

McMillen, Inc is currently seeking a Revit Team Member to join our growing team. The Revit Team Member will work with our CAD/BIM team to take our water resource projects to the Revit world. This experienced designer will be immersed in the fast-paced water resources engineering environment, often requiring creative designs to solve complex design problems. Frequent coordination and communication with design engineers is essential to solving problems, improving processes, and completing projects on time.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 10 years of experience preparing and developing clear, complete, and accurate designs with Revit, AutoCAD, and ACC. Qualified candidates must have experience with water resource industry, to include Fish Hatcheries, Hydroelectric Power, and Pump Storage.

Preferred locations for these positions are Boise, ID, Kirkland WA, and Denver, CO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, Manage Revit projects and coordinate with project teams.
  • Setup Revit projects utilizing multiple models, files and team members.
  • Manage Cloud projects.
  • Create and manage: View Templates, Views, Sheets, and Schedules in accordance with standards and desired outcomes.
  • Create and manage Revit content.
  • Required knowledge of MEP discipline.
  • Actively participate in projects by providing support through all phases of design and delivery process.
  • The ability to work and collaborate with Revit, Inventor and Civil 3D within a master model.
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments, remain highly organized, and produce products at a fast pace, while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Preferred candidates will have worked on water treatment plants, pump stations, fish hatcheries, and hydropower facilities or similar MEP projects.

Qualifications:

  • Expert with Autodesk's Revit.
  • Expert with pipe routing and equipment placement.
  • Expert with Clash Detection.
  • Working with Revit content to fulfill project requirements.
  • Advanced with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Ability to manage ACC projects is required.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks and 3D coordination is required.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD

Preferred Skills:

  • Technical or vocation program completion with focus in design and drafting; AA/AS preferred
  • 10 years experience preferred as a MEP designer
  • Knowledge of Dynamo or Python for Revit.
  • Knowledge of Fire Protection is a plus
  • Experience in water resources
  • Must have good technical writing and professional communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to collaborate productively with multidisciplinary team members on a variety of concurrent projects.
