Job description

The PENTA Building Group is looking for an MEP Project Manager to join our Hard Rock Casino Tejon team in Mettler, CA (Bakersfield)!
A PENTA MEP Project Manager oversees and manages the coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on the project. The MEP Project Manager will utilize their knowledge and expertise of MEP systems to collaborate with the project team in assisting with the management and coordination of MEP subcontractors and resolving any issues that arise.
 
A PENTA MEP Project Manager will also:
  • Review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts or design issues.  
  • Provide technical guidance to MEP subcontractors on installation methods, material selection, and quality control.  
  • Set guidelines and procedures to verify compliance with design documents and building codes.  
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as VDC team, to ensure proper integration of MEP systems.  
  • Manage MEP subcontractors, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.  
  • Develop and maintain MEP project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.  
  • Track MEP costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.  
  • Address and resolve MEP related issues that arise during the project.  
  • Perform quality checks on MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.  
  • Prepare reports on MEP system performance and project status. 
  • Maintain frequent communication with project team, architects, and other stakeholders.  
  • Conduct regular meetings with MEP subcontractors to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.  
  • Participate in all project and team meetings as required.  
  • Perform all other duties as assigned that may not be listed here. 
 
We trust that you have: 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects
  • Minimum 3 years of prior experience working in MEP scopes
  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field; or, equivalence in years of relevant experience
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
  • Fluency in reading, quantifying, and analyzing construction drawings
  • Competent understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing
  • The ability to work efficiently on fast-paced construction projects with accelerated schedules
  • Experience with follow-up and monitoring of work to ensure quality standards and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and team player mindset
  • Ability to work on-site at our Tejon Hard Rock Casino jobsite in Mettler, CA. Or, flexibility to travel to or fully relocate for this project if not within a reasonable local commuting distance.
  • Salary Range DOE $100,000 - $130,000

The pay range may differ in other locations. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors and is in good faith and/or offer for this position.
