Job description

Martin Bros is seeking a Menu Production Strategist to support the Senior Living and Healthcare Services division by leading the development and customization of menus that meet client goals, regulatory requirements, and nutritional standards while driving customer satisfaction and profitability.

This role collaborates closely with customers, internal teams, and vendors to produce, analyze, and communicate base and custom menus, seasonal offerings, therapeutic diets, recipes, and related tools within defined timelines. Leveraging strong nutrition expertise, technology, and customer-focused communication, the Strategist provides valued resources, education, and support to customers and the sales team, contributes to marketing and retention initiatives, and helps advance menu systems and offerings. The position requires professionalism, accuracy, and adaptability, with occasional travel to support customer engagements and industry activities. This position may be based in Cedar Falls or the Des Moines area.

Expectations:

Customize menus as assigned

  • Develop, produce, analyze and relay menus to clients that align with customer goals, meet regulatory requirements, contractual agreements and nutrition requirements within defined turn-around time.
  • Communicate with staff and customers regarding custom menu needs and details of the projects.
  • Support department initiatives to further enhance menu tool and menu offerings.

Instrumental in supporting base menu development

  • Coordinate various seasonal menu versions along with the therapeutic diets, recipes, product features and other supporting tools.
  • Communicate availability of base menu and documents to customers and internal team.
  • Work with vendors and internal team to identify items which support company goals.

Support customer initiatives as assigned to assist in the marketing efforts of the Senior Living/Healthcare Services department

  • Develop and administer customer education tools and other value-added services.
  • Provide nutrition services support for sales team in the form of onboarding, training, guidance,providing resources and joint customer communications, as requested
  • Support departmental activities as requested such as events, corporate meetings, customer-level activities, etc.
