Gentle Care Counseling Center is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This full-time remote role will involve conducting virtual counseling sessions, performing mental health assessments, and formulating tailored therapeutic plans to support individuals in overcoming various psychological challenges. • Conduct virtual intake assessments to evaluate the mental health status and needs of clients.
• Design and implement personalized therapeutic plans that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, or solution-focused techniques.
• Facilitate regular follow-up sessions with clients to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide effective interventions for a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
• Create and maintain detailed client records in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and community organizations, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in team meetings to enhance service delivery and therapeutic methods.

As a mental health counselor at Gentle Care Counseling Center, you will work with a wide demographic, including adults dealing with anxiety disorders, depressive episodes, and eating disorders, as well as individuals facing substance abuse issues. You will leverage your expertise to provide tailored approaches that acknowledge the diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences of your clients, fostering a safe and understanding therapeutic environment.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of four years of experience in a clinical setting with demonstrated success in therapy practices.
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to manage complex situations effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and the ability to adapt to digital tools for service delivery.
• A commitment to the ethical practice of therapy, maintaining confidentiality, and respecting personal boundaries.

• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy sessions in a virtual format.
• Knowledge of culturally competent practices and a track record of engaging with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.
